What DTF Transfers by Size are

A DTF transfer by size is one design, cut to the exact dimensions you ask for. Sizes start at 2x2 inches and go up to 12x17 inches. We print, powder, and cure it the same way we do our gang sheets, then cut it into individual pieces before shipping. So you get the finished transfer, not a full sheet you have to fill.

Ordering custom DTF transfer sheets one size at a time is the right move when you only need a few pieces. Maybe it’s a sample, a one-off order, or a small batch of shirts that won’t fill a full gang sheet. But once you hit ten or more pieces of the same size, the numbers below show that a gang sheet costs less per piece.

  • 18 sizes, from 2″ x 2″ to 12″ x 17″
  • Flat price per size, no linear inch math
  • Same hot peel, press and seal process as our gang sheets
  • No order minimum, no setup fee

DTF transfer sizes and pricing

We sell DTF transfers by size. Each piece is cut individually and ready to press. Prices are flat per square inch. A 2x2 costs $0.95, and a 12x17 costs $9.10. There is no minimum order. Larger sizes don't cost more per square inch, same as our gang sheets. We print, cut, and ship from Miami to anywhere in the US.

Need more than a few pieces? Twenty 4" x 4" transfers bought separately run you $38.00. Put those same twenty designs on a 24 inch Custom DTF Gang Sheet, and it costs $8.40. Once you're past about ten pieces, a gang sheet is the cheaper route for the same artwork.

How to press these transfers

It's the same sequence as our Custom DTF Gang Sheets: hot peel, pressed and sealed twice.

1. Pre-press the garment for 5 seconds to drive out moisture and flatten the surface.

2. Press the transfer at 300°F for 10 seconds, medium firm pressure, 60 to 80 PSI.

3. Peel it hot, but not scorching. After you lift the press, wait about 5 to 10 seconds. The film should feel warm, not hot. Then pull it off in one smooth, steady motion.

4. Seal at 310°F for 10 seconds with a teflon sheet on top. This second press bonds the design for the long run.

Heat presses don’t all come calibrated the same, so run a test piece before you press a whole batch.

Where these transfers work

DTF holds on cotton, poly blends, fleece and canvas.

Three situations cause almost every failure we see:

  • Chemically treated garments:Moisture wicking and UV protection finishes sit between the ink and the fiber. They weaken adhesion. Some cotton piqué polos have the same treatment but don't list it on the label. That's why a polo order can fail when a tee order of the same cotton did not.
  • Dye migration on polyester: Heat makes the dye leave the fabric and stain the transfer. You usually see a pink or grey cast a day later. This is the same problem as pressing over a sublimated garment. Lower temperature helps, but it does not always fix it.
  • Textured or uneven surfaces: Ribbed knits, heavy seams and anything that keeps the platen off the design.

Works well on

Cotton, polyester blends, fleece and canvas.

Before you order

  • Orders confirmed Monday through Friday go into production within 24 hours.
  • You have to use the seal press. Skipping it is the most common reason a transfer cracks early.
  • Test one piece before you press a full batch. Heat presses are not calibrated the same way.

Need More Than a Few Pieces?

Twenty 4" x 4" transfers cost $38.00 for that size. The same designs on a 24 inch Custom DTF Gang Sheet cost $8.40.

Questions we get

Is there a minimum order?

No. Order a single piece or any mix of sizes.

How is the price calculated?

Each size has a flat price based on its total square inches, not a per linear inch rate. Larger sizes cost less per square inch, just like our gang sheets.

Can I mix different sizes in one order?

Yes. Order any combination of the 18 sizes in a single order.

When should I order a gang sheet instead?

When you need about ten or more pieces in similar sizes, a gang sheet saves you money. Check the numbers above to see the difference.

Do you press these twice?

Apply it once. Then peel and seal for another 10 seconds. Skipping the seal is the most common reason a transfer cracks early.

How soon can the garment be washed?

Wait 24 hours. Then inside out, cold water, hang dry or tumble low.

Are your inks certified?

Our inks, film and powder are all OEKO-TEX certified.
